Senior Beat: Appraising and Organizing your ‘Stuff’
In the first segment on this episode of Senior Beat we talk about the Senior Center Appraisal Fair, with guests Rick Orton and Shirley Bauman. They introduce the Antiques Appraisal Fair to be held at the Madison Senior Center on March 20. Shirley gives an example of the type of appraisal one might expect by commenting on two or three items during the program. Lori Chapman of Segues joins us on our second segment when we talk about out possessions and the accumulation of 'stuff'. We identify the different types of ‘stuff’ and determine various strategies for handling it, and talk about some of the reasons older adults have difficulties managing their accumulated possessions.
