Mayoral News Conference on the Update of Plans for the Madison Public Market

Mayor Paul Soglin hosts a news conference at the future location of the Madison Public Market, which will now be located at the corner of E. Johnson St. and First St. He discusses the reason for the change as well as the new opportunities it presents. The building currently houses the City's Fleet Services for city vehicles. The Madison Public Market will provide economic opportunities for local business owners as well as low cost, locally sourced produce along accessible Metro bus routes. It will also serve as a year-round marketplace for unique cuisine, beautiful artwork, live music, pop-op craft fairs and other fun events.
